Silicon Power Corporation
designs, fabricates and markets a wide range of
power semiconductor devices for a wide variety
of pulse power and power applications. The
company located in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is the
oldest continuously operating semiconductor
engineering and manufacturing facility in the
world, dating back to the late 1920s. General
Electric company operated the facility until
1994, when the present ownership transitioned
from GE to Silicon Power Corporation. Today, the
company produces thyristors up to 9kV and
silicon diameters in 100mm and 125mm sizes. In
2003 the company introduced the Solidtron
miniature thyristor product line based on the
MOS controlled thyristor and Super GTO
technology for low duty high voltage pulse
discharge applications. |
